Good things come to those who wait

Christine ended up having a ten weekend and as promised here's the story. But before we get to that peep this pic. Christine actually has some cred in this shot, talk about a life-altering weekend. Anyway this was the last photo of the night and it makes me smile because our faces tell the story better than our vocabulary ever could.
Woke up about 90 minutes after falling asleep, I can't move. I really don't want to get out of this bed with fresh sheets, then I realized I wasn't home in my bed and I open my eyes to see Miss Christine and the rest of the HoJo. Oh yeah, last night...

Took it all in and finally opened my mouth. "Hey you...wow!" Christine is doing about 5 steps up from super-duper and that makes me finally awake and aware. Pack up, watch some MTV check things online and make moves.

Hiking to the bus we watch the sunrise, this city is so surreal. Makes me want to move to downtown Baltimore just to see big buildings in an orange haze every morning. The line is ridiculous and it seems like everyone is trying to get back to Maryland. Cops are walking around poking sleeping passengers and people in front of us are asking more questions than necessary. I decide if the Baltimore bus is full we're going straight to Philly and hopefully there's room in Alexa's car to take us home. Doesn't come to that because the bus ended up being pretty empty.

Sat with Christine, sorted out my belongings, called my mom and asked if she could pick me up in a couple hours. All was good, the more distant that gorgeous skyline got the more my eyes slanted. Woke up and was in Delaware and then my house and then home.

Dad picks us up and I drop off Christine get breakfast and tell my mom about the trip, but not really. Decided I should take a nap or something since I was still tired from Friday and Saturday just added to it. Ended up talking to Christine til about 11:30 figuring out the agenda for the day. Tried to contact Mandy and Alexa but Verizon was on that digital.

Wake up at 1, drive to the movies to pick up Christine and end up sleeping in the car for about another half hour. I was beat street. It was a restless sleep cause I kept thinking crazed shoppers were gonna kill me. She wakes me up, hops in the car and we go shopping for Birthday presents.

We looked in like every store that sold a hat, but of course the best ones at the best price were in that one store all the way in the freakin corner, Finishline. Christine gets two hats, after I call Devin to make sure the size was right. Devin and Delicious have the same kind of hair and head shape and I remembered both their hats fit the same on my head. Yeah I'm observant. Anyway I got D a t-shirt from Hot Topic, I know right, but it was perfect. It says "Do Work Son".

Leave the mall and stop BW to see Devin, I miss that kid. He tries on the hats and says I suck at hiding his Christmas presents. Chat with Mark for a minute to rid some of that stress I usually get from being asked the same question multiple times... Head out after finding out more info about that silly Recher show. Go to Target and get the best card ever and some munchies and a pack of sharpies. That was all for those Chicago boys, who else.

Dropped of Christine went home to eat, then picked her back up. Christine writes her blog in the car and I have a dance party with the Ohhhhhh playlist. For the record, practically every song I heard last night was played in that hour ride. Traffic is beyond silly, I guess people really do travel over the holidays. Almost get in an accident but fortunately I can drive, dance, sing, text, and pay attention all at the same time. Swerve out the way, didn't even lay on the horn just told Christine to keep writing cause I got this under control.

Roll up to my parking lot, my homeboy is there and since I'm platinum I get my usual spot and some directions to a gas station. Chat with the attendant for a moment and walk through the masses of kids in line. I miss the casino afterall. Head up to the will call window, just kidding we're going in sketchily. Slide around back and Dwain is waiting for us.

Talk to Ian, Allie, and Nicki for a bit then head out to actual show area to see our friends. Mandy and Alexa and squished up against the barricade and we talk for a minute then I go to find Delicious. He was super happy to see us. Like big eyed, wide smile happy. We tell him we have gifts and talk while the line subsides.

Andrew shows us his melting icecream cake and I ask why didn't the gift givers provide a cooler and spoon. He doesn't know but needs a spoon. Yells over to the doorguy "GET ME A SPPOOOOOOOOON!" response, "WE AIN'T GOT NO DAMN SPOONS!" D laughs. He keep saying it cause it's hilarious and that's how he is. Christine goes in search of a spoon and Delicious tells me all about the people tonight.

Xtine is back, no spoon and more cake is melting. Offered to go to the van and get his spoon but he says no worries. Finally give gifts, first is the card. Ellen of course and he sets it up all nice next to the tip jar. Then is his hats from Christine. "THAT'S MY SIZE, OH SHIT!" I know my boy. He throws one on and then I give him his shirt. All kinds of indiscernible noises are made. He pulls the shirt on and me and Christine start taking off all the tags because it's apparent that's the new outfit for the night. Delicious is beyond ecstatic and appreciative.

Valencia is on stage doing their thing, hang with D, finally dance to "The Space Between" and then head over to Alexa and Mandy to watch theAUDITION. Only can stay up there for a song because those kids are ridiculous. I notice that Danny does that dance I showed him last night perfectly. You know the one he said he couldn't do... about that.

Run into BQ & Peter on the way to seeing The Audition. Wave to them while they sign autographs and chat with Alexa & Mandy. We're dancing to All Time Low and talking to each other. Danny comes by to say hi and gets swarmed. Then I hear "Thank you." I ask Christine who she was thanking and why. Apparently Danny gave us a huge complement on our dancing to the fans asking for autographs. Thanks!!

Christine leaves to go backstage during BLG. I decide to stay in and watch with D/Mandy/Alexa. Ended up talking to Mandy about life and things, "Thunder" is her wedding song. Alexa is off the chain bouncing off the walls. I text Christine to get updates as does she. Some creepy ass girl comes up to me and complements my Starting Line hoodie; it's so badass. She just kinda lingers and then take my picture. ISSUE!

Christine comes back and we all dance like an idiot to "The Great Escape". Time to leave, we have 50 minutes to say goodbyes and get on the highway. I was all about getting home by 1 so I didn't have to go to UMBC. Talk to D for a good 15 minutes. Run into Joe who tells me about his dance moves and I said I saw a big difference overnight. Joe wants Andrew's shirt and I said good luck with that and walk over to Danny. I call him out on using my dance moves after he said he couldn't. He agrees, talks to some fans. We make plans for their Baltimore show whenever that'll be, he thinks Feb/Mar. Apparently we are doing a lot of dances and going to some club. Say bye to Jack and his fan club try to go out the back door which is lock. As is every other outside door but one. I honestly think that's against firecode. Walking out I hear Delicious say "Drive safe. You guys don't even know, those are my girls right there!"

Security outside is dumb and we have to explain that we aren't trying to kidnap Alex and was simply saying bye while walking by. And that we are with Seth so they need to leave us alone. Say goodbyes and thank yous for an amazing weekend. Walk with Alexa and Mandy to the corner tell them bye and head to the car.

The ride home is smooth, only yawned once or twice. Got Christine to her door at exactly 1am. Whew! Get home and text D for a bit and then get online to tell Christine about how I'm going to the Bamboozled to party with Forever the Sickest Kids and see Scary Kids and I am the Avalanche. Someone remind me to buy 2 2-day tickets. Finally go to bed in hopes of getting 5 hours of sleep.
